What domestic freight with Deltagvivid actually looks like

We operate scheduled weekly lanes and ad-hoc capacity across all ten provinces and three territories.

Domestic freight in Canada is not a single challenge — it is ten provinces, three territories, thousands of kilometres of highway, rail, and northern access routes, and a shipper population with very different expectations at each endpoint. Deltagvivid maintains dedicated FTL and LTL capacity on core corridors: Halifax–Montréal, Montréal–Toronto, Toronto–Calgary, and Calgary–Vancouver. Off-lane moves, including northern deliveries into the Yukon and Nunavut, are coordinated through vetted carrier partners operating under our service standards. Every domestic shipment receives a unique tracking identifier visible through our client portal from the moment it is booked. Transit time estimates are contractual, not aspirational — if we commit to three days, we account for that commitment operationally.

How domestic freight delivery works, step by step

A transparent process from booking through final delivery confirmation.

Book and confirm

Submit your shipment details through the client portal or by phone. You receive lane availability, transit time, and a binding rate within four business hours.

Collection and intake

Our driver or partner carrier collects cargo at your facility. All documentation is verified at pickup and a digital record is created immediately.

In-transit visibility

Live status updates appear in your portal at each milestone: pickup, hub arrival, departure, and final-mile handoff. No log-in required for recipients on email notifications.

Delivery and confirmation

Proof of delivery — including signature and timestamp — is uploaded to your account within 30 minutes of completion for full audit compliance.

What you receive at the end of a domestic freight engagement

Deliverables go beyond the delivered pallet — documentation and data come standard.

Every completed domestic freight move with Deltagvivid produces a structured set of closing documents: a signed proof-of-delivery record, a freight invoice with itemised charges, and a shipment data export compatible with major ERP systems including SAP and NetSuite. For clients on recurring lanes, we produce a monthly lane performance report showing transit times, exceptions, and carrier utilisation. There are no hidden fuel surcharges applied after booking — the rate confirmed at booking is the rate invoiced. Clients with high-volume requirements can negotiate master rate agreements that lock corridor pricing for up to 12 months, providing certainty for budget planning.

We moved our entire Halifax distribution operation to Deltagvivid in early 2023. The transition took two weeks, transit times to our Toronto hub dropped by a full day, and the portal eliminated the email chains we used to rely on. Our logistics coordinator calls it the most useful tool in her stack.
